Hector Barinas
Héctor Barinas (aka Norberto Segundo Pirela García ; born April 24, 1935 in Maracaibo ; † November 17, 1979 ibid) was a Venezuelan singer and composer.
Pirela got his stage name in Caracas from Chucho Sanoja , whose soloist orchestra he belonged, in order to distinguish him from Felipe Pirela , a soloist in Billo Frómeta's orchestra. He also worked with the Gaiteras and Los Caracuchos groups. With the latter he recorded his song Sentir Zuliano in 1971 , which, however, only became internationally known with the recording of Los Cardinales del Éxito with Ricardo Cepeta . Pirela had a heart attack when she was forty-four.
