Héctor Grauert

Héctor A. Grauert (born November 7, 1907 in Montevideo , † February 8, 1991 ) was a Uruguayan politician.

Career

Grauert, who was a member of the Partido Colorado , was a lawyer and taught constitutional law from 1940 to 1943 at the Universidad de la República . As a representative of the Montevideo Department in the 34th and 35th legislative periods (LP) from February 15, 1943 to February 14, 1951, he held a titular mandate as a member of the Cámara de Representantes . He then sat in legislative periods 36, 37, 39, 40 and 41 with various interruptions as the elected senator in the Cámara de Senadores . During this period he was first Vice President of the Senate in 1955 and 1964. He was also Edil from February 15, 1972 until his deathin Montevideo. Grauert was Minister for Industry and Labor from November 26, 1957 to February 28, 1959. From June 12, 1956 to June 6, 1957 he was Minister for Public Works. From June 6, 1957 to June 10, 1958 he was Minister of the Interior.
