Héctor J. Díaz
Héctor José Díaz (* 1910 in Azua de Compostela , † 1950 in New York City ) was a Dominican writer and composer.
Díaz was an opponent of the Dominican dictator Trujillo and therefore spent the last years of his life in exile in New York. He composed songs like Entre tu amor y mi amor and Paris and merengues like Mal Peláo , El negrito del Batey and Se murió Martín . He was also known as a poet; his poem Lo que quiero is popular .
