Alejandro Héctor Sanabria Mascareño (born August 17, 1945 in Mexico City ), better known as Héctor Sanabria and also known by the nickname El Capi (the boss), is a former Mexican football player who played in midfield and followed his active Career as a trainer .

Life

"El Capi" Sanabria played demonstrably between 1967/68 and 1972/73 for his hometown club UNAM Pumas , with which he won the Mexican football championship in the 1976/77 season . After his active career, he led a team consisting only of Mexican players as a coach to the runner-up in the 1987/88 season. In the following season 1988/89 he coached the Deportivo Toluca FC , with whom he won the Copa México . In the 1989/90 season he was under contract with the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz , but was replaced early by the Uruguayan Roberto Matosas.

National team

In 1968, Sanabria completed seven full-distance international matches for the Mexican national team . His debut took place on March 3rd in a goalless encounter against the Soviet Union, his last game against Ethiopia on September 29th was won 3-0. An international goal was denied him.
