Greti Klay
Greti Kläy , b. Schlapfer, formerly Luginbühl, (born March 3, 1930 in Lucerne ; † November 20, 2015 ) was a Swiss film director , costume designer and art weaver.
Life
Kläy trained as a dressmaker and attended the trade school in Bern from 1947 to 1949 . After completing her training at the trade school, Kläy trained as a hand weaver and has dedicated herself to hand carpet weaving since 1950.
Kläy met her first husband, Bernhard Luginbühl, at the vocational school . The marriage followed in 1950; the marriage has two daughters. Luginbühl dedicated his stone figure Greti to Kläy , but after the divorce in 1957 renamed her Seated Woman . In 1959 she married the painter Fritz Kläy .
She started working as a costume designer in the film industry in the 1970s. Her only directorial work was the children's film Anna annA in 1993 with co-director Jürgen Brauer . She also worked on the script for the film based on a popular Swiss children's book by Lukas Hartmann .
