The Minneapolis Bruins were an American ice hockey franchise of the Central Hockey League based in Minneapolis , Minnesota .
history
The club began playing in the newly formed Central Professional Hockey League for the 1963/64 season , in which they were the new farm team of the Boston Bruins from the National Hockey League . In the two seasons of its existence, the team reached third place of the regular season and was eliminated in the playoffs for the Adams Cup in the first round.
For the 1965/66 season , the Minneapolis Bruins were relocated to Oklahoma City , Oklahoma , and changed their name to Oklahoma City Blazers .
