Héctor Vigliecca (born October 16, 1940 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan - Brazilian architect and urban planner.

biography

Vigliecca studied at the Universidad de la República and graduated as an architect and urban planner in 1968. In 1969 he went to the La Sapienza University in Rome on a scholarship , where he learned from Ludovico Quaroni .

In 1972 he got the opportunity to realize a project with Antonio Bonet in Barcelona, ​​Spain . He worked with Bonet until 1974 and then went to São Paulo in Brazil, where he then worked with Joaquín Guedes and various other architects, from 1986 in his own architectural office. From 1976 to 1986 he was also the architectural director and technical manager of the architecture department of the National Association of Consulting Engineers ( Consorcio Nacional de Ingeniería Consultiva -CNEC) based in São Paulo. He has been working for Luciene Quel's architecture firm since 1995 .

Vigliecca was a professor in the Faculty of Architecture in Montevideo, in the Faculties of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Universidade Paulista (UNIP) and the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie . He took part in numerous international competitions and received numerous awards.
