The HAK / HAS Tulln is a business academy and business school in Tulln on the Danube .

history

The school is a private school with public rights , which was founded by the municipality of Tulln (Minoritenplatz 1, 3430 Tulln), it is also the school maintainer .

Architecture and buildings

The school has eight PC rooms with a school network and internet connection, and all classrooms have a PC with internet connection and a projector. There is WiFi in all rooms. In addition to a library, biology and physics room, learning and chill-out zones were set up.

Educational work, equipment and offers

The HAK / HAS Tulln has an average of 15 HAK and 3 HAS and around 365 students, who are taught by around 48 teachers.

Modular upper level

The first year of HAK is run as a year-round year. From the second year onwards, the school year is divided into a winter and a summer semester. Each semester ends with a certificate. There are repeat dates with a funding program for negatively completed modules (objects). This eliminates the need to repeat an entire school year in the traditional sense. A voluntary repetition is possible at any time upon request. The training ends with the matriculation and diploma examination. Taking the matriculation and diploma examination is only possible if all modules (subjects) have been positively assessed.

Training branches HAK

HAK classic

The classic training branch offers training with a special focus on corporate accounting and controlling. The expansion area Controlling, Business Practice and Taxes is taught for 2 hours per week from the 3rd year onwards. Part of the training are subject-specific excursions and training courses, subject-specific project days, in-depth training in the BMD and SAP programs, diploma thesis with an economic focus and a compulsory internship of 300 working hours over the course of the 5-year training which must be completed outside of class times. The written part of the accountant examination can also be taken.

HAK international

The international training branch offers training with an international focus and English as the working language in many subjects. The school-autonomous extension area international economics is taught from the 3rd year onwards in the extent of 2 hours per week. Part of the training are the increased use of English as the working language in the commercial area and in the diploma thesis, support from native speakers, language weeks abroad and city trips, support for voluntary semesters abroad and a compulsory internship of 300 working hours over the course of the 5-year training which is outside of class times is to be completed. The LCCI certificate (Cambridge Business English Certificate) can also be obtained.

HAK digit @ l

The digit @ l training branch offers training with a special focus on multimedia, web design and e-business. The expansion area information and communication technology - e-business is taught from the 3rd year in the extent of 2 hours per week. Part of the training is the use of mobile learning guides (e.g. smartphone), the use of e-learning platforms, subject-specific excursions and training courses, thesis with an It focus, advanced training in HTML and web design and a compulsory internship of 300 working hours (ideally in IT Area) in the course of the 5-year training which must be completed outside of the lesson times. Further IT certificates can e.g. B. ECDL advanced can be acquired.

In 2012 the school was nominated for the Austrian School Prize.
