HARSO Hartmann & Sohn Fabrik was a company that was active in the field of precision mechanics ( engine construction , motorcycle construction and sidecars ) in Biebrich am Rhein .

In addition to manufacturing special windshield wipers for the Swiss railways, the company started building motorcycles and motorcycle sidecars before 1924 , which was carried out until 1926. The most built motorcycle with around 350 pieces had 250 cm³, but there are also supposed to have been motorcycles with 350 and 500 cm³. The technical data were as follows: Motor 250 cm³, 2.5-5 HP four-stroke engine from our own production, frame also from our own production, gearbox of English origin ( Sturmey-Archer ), 3-speed stick shift, carburetor also in English ( Brown-Barlow), front brake with lamellas (Komet), rear brake as wooden block brake with leather.
