The House of Brandenburg-Prussian History (HBPG) is a museum on the Neuer Markt in Potsdam , which is located there in the horse-drawn carriage stable . It sees itself as an open forum for active engagement with Brandenburg and Prussian history .

The museum offers the permanent exhibition “Country and People. Stories from Brandenburg-Prussia ”as well as changing special exhibitions. The story is illustrated by modern media and historical exhibits from various Brandenburg museums and collections.

The house has collaborations with the Potsdam Museum , the Potsdam City and State Library , the Brandenburg State Office for Monument Preservation and the State Archaeological Museum , the Berlin City Museum Foundation and the Zamek Cultural Center in Poznań .

It was founded in 2003 when the complete renovation of the horse-drawn carriage and its outbuildings made museum rooms available.
