The HC Bellerive Vevey is a former Swiss ice hockey team from Vevey in the canton of Vaud .

history

HC Bellerive Vevey won the first official Swiss championship in 1909 . In all seven game rounds, Bellerive was able to prevail against the opponents - all also from French-speaking Switzerland - and won the title with the maximum number of points and a goal difference of 63:13.

In the following four years Bellerive won twice more, in 1910 and 1911, the runner-up title, before the championship was not held once because of bad weather and a year later because of war mobilization. It was not until 1917/18 that the club found itself in the rankings again. On January 6, 1918, HC Bellerive Vevey won its first title in the international championship. The following year they won the national title, but could not defend the international title after the final was lost.

A peculiarity occurred in 1919/20 when Bellerive won the national championship title without playing because the opponent ( Academic EHC Zurich ) had not made it to the final. In the international championship, HC Bellerive Vevey provided two teams, but one was eliminated in the preliminary round and the second in the quarter-finals.

In 1920/21 Bellerive reached the finals in both championships, but could not win either title. In 1926, HC Bellerive Vevey, which was three times Swiss champion and one time winner of the international championship, merged with Villars HC to form Villars-Bellerive HC .
