channels

HD1

Until the beginning of 2005, HD1 could be received unencrypted via satellite and cable in the networks of Ish NRW , Iesy Hessen and Kabel BW in Europe. Then the channel sent encoded in Irdeto . To decrypt a was SmartCard needed that cost directly from the transmitter 200 euros. Concerts, operas and sporting events that can be understood without language barriers throughout Europe were broadcast daily from 8 p.m. to midnight. In the remaining time, landscape pictures or documentation were shown.

Usually a long video loop with various 3D recordings is running, only sporadically a live broadcast can be watched in 3D (e.g. from 3DSWITCH.tv from Italy).

HD2

This channel was intended for the most part for cinemas, restaurants and pubs, but private households could also receive it. Some concerts were offered unencrypted. Although HD2 could be decoded with the same smart card as HD1, this channel was designed as a pay-per-event channel. This means that the viewer had to pay a certain fee for the event they wanted to see. HD2 broadcast on timeshare with HD5 . So if a special event was to be seen on HD2, HD5 was idle and vice versa. The station can no longer be received via satellite.

HD5

This channel has been on the air since August 2005. Concerts, pictures from space and the flora and fauna were shown. This channel also provided information via HDTV. The station can no longer be received via satellite.

EXQI

The organizers of Euro1080 also organized a radio station and other programs under the name EXQI. The station can no longer be received via satellite.
