HD 142415 b

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

HD 142415 b is an exoplanet that orbits the yellow dwarf HD 142415 every 386.3 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .

discovery

The planet was determined using the radial velocity method by Michel Mayor et al. discovered in 2003 .

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approx. 1.07 astronomical units and has a mass of approx. 537.3 Earth masses or 1.69 Jupiter masses. Since it has a high eccentricity of 50% (the distance to its star fluctuates between 0.535 and 1.605 astronomical units) life on it or on possible moons can be excluded.
