HD 81040 b is an exoplanet that orbits the yellow dwarf HD 81040 every 1001.7 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .

discovery

The planet was determined using the radial velocity method by A. Sozzetti et al. discovered in 2005 .

Circulation and mass

The planet orbits its star at a distance of approx. 1.94 astronomical units with an eccentricity of 52.6% and has a mass of approx. 2187 earths and 6.88 Jupiter masses.
