The Helma Eigenheimbau AG (proper spelling HELMA ) is a massive house -Anbieter based in Lehrte in Hanover .

The company's field of activity includes the development, planning, sale and construction management of turnkey and semi-finished individual one and two-family houses in solid construction. Helma Eigenheimbau AG is active nationwide with 32 model houses.

Group of companies

The Helma Group comprises three subsidiaries, which focus on different business areas. The subsidiary "Helma Wohnungsbau GmbH" (until the change of name on July 29, 2010 still " GmbH & Co. KG ") is active in the property development business. Another group subsidiary is Hausbau Finanz GmbH, which has been providing financing services since September 2010. The latest addition to the group is Helma Ferienimmobilien GmbH (founded in January 2011), which specializes in the development, sales and construction of holiday properties.

Company history

In 1980 the then board member and majority shareholder Karl-Heinz Maerzke founded the HELMA company in Hanover and at that time employed 3 people.

In 1989 the company moved to a new company headquarters in Isernhagen OT Altwarmbüchen. At that time HELMA employed ten people.

In 1991 the first HELMA model house was opened at the company's headquarters.

In 2000, HELMA employed 40 people and construction consultants and at that time had five show houses across Germany.

From 2002 to 2004 HELMA built seven more show homes.

In 2004 HELMA employs around 100 people and construction consultants and is active nationwide.

In 2005 the company was converted from a GmbH to a stock corporation. At the same time, HELMA opened its first own show home park in Lehrte near Hanover.

In 2006 the Helma share was first listed on the German stock exchange. In 2006, HELMA employed around 108 people and 76 independent sales representatives.

In 2007 the subsidiary HELMA LUX SA was founded in Walferdange, Luxembourg.

In 2008, the company moved to new headquarters and its current location in Lehrte near Hanover.

In 2010 the group of companies was expanded to include Hausbau Finanz GmbH (financial services) in the field of construction finance. The company now had 131 employees and 76 independent building consultants as well as 37 model houses nationwide.

In 2011 the group of companies expanded to include HELMA Ferienimmobilien GmbH. HELMA also won the plaque of the European Association for Renewable Energies Eurosolar eV for the energy self-sufficient house

In 2012 the HELMA sampling center was opened.

Since 2013, HELMA has been building all houses as a standard KfW 70 version.

In 2016, HELMA employed 296 people, 106 of them self-employed consultants.

In 2018, HELMA CFO Gerrit Janssen took over from Karl-Heinz Maerzke as CEO and now leads the group together with Management Board members Max Bode and André Müller.
