HEROS is the name of a German wooden toy manufacturer from Lam . The name is an acronym for the name of the company's founder, Hermann Rossberg . The company claims to be the market leader in child-friendly wooden toys in Europe.
history
The company's origins go back to the 14th century, when a sawmill was built at today's headquarters in the valley of the White Rain in the Bavarian Forest .
In 1903 the production was switched to the industrial manufacture of wooden toys. In 1948 the production of toys was expanded. In 2007 the toy manufacturer Lorenz was taken over. In March 2010, the company filed for bankruptcy ; in autumn 2010 it was taken over by the Simba-Dickie-Group .
Products
HEROS manufactures for children, from simple shapes such as cuboids, rectangles, triangles, pillars and bridges to cars, locomotives, buildings, trees, animals and rail systems.
There are the product lines Creativ, Express, Automotive, Do it yourself, Aktiv, Playworld and Constructor.
