HHhH ( Himmler's brain is called Heydrich) is a historical novel by the French author Laurent Binet . It was published in 2010 and deals with the assassination attempt on the SS-Obergruppenführer , head of the Reich Main Security Office (RSHA) and Deputy Reich Protector in Bohemia and Moravia in Prague , Reinhard Heydrich during the Second World War (" Operation Anthropoid ").

The story of Operation Anthropoid and parts of the life stories of Heydrich and the Czech resistance fighters Jan Kubiš and Jozef Gabčík are told . At the same time, the author's research and writing process is described. Laurent Binet lets his reflections flow into the plot.

Movie

In 2016, the material was filmed from a script by David Farr, Cédric Jimenez and Audrey Diwan and directed by Jimenez. Heydrich is played by actor Jason Clarke . The film was released in France in 2017, in Germany it was released in 2018 under the title The Power of Evil .

In Germany radio Christoph describes Vormweg the reading experience on the first 350 pages as a stop-and-go in the highway traffic jam that forces the author from Jonathan Littell delineate ... but of course!
