HJ school leader

At HJ-school leaders were soon after the takeover of the Nazis in 1933 in secondary schools as high schools , high schools or high schools called students that in the Hitler Youth (HJ), the German Youth Movement (DJ) or the League of German Girls (BDM) Held management positions. The appointment to the school leader, mostly pupils of the upper classes, took place in cooperation of the local leadership of the Hitler Youth with the school authorities , in which a special school department of the HJ was set up.

The school leader should contribute to the ideological orientation of the student body and at the same time be a role model. He appeared publicly at school events together with the student body, was present with the school management at the opening of the school year and also when the flag was raised before the start of the vacation and the flag was raised when the school resumed after the vacation.

On national holidays such as January 30th (“ seizure of power ”), April 20th ( Führer’s birthday ) or November 9th ( march to the Feldherrnhalle ) he was involved in organizing the school's commemorations and took the floor.

His or her vote may have been asked for when awarding certificates and could have a say in transfers , e.g. B. the school performance was impaired by too intensive commitment and time consumption in the Hitler Youth or in the Bund deutscher Mädchen.
