The HK Alfa (until 2012 HK Alfa Novo Sarajevo ) is an ice hockey team from Novo Sarajevo , a municipality of the city of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina . The club was founded in 2003 and takes part in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian ice hockey league with the men’s Medvjedi (German “bears”) team. Like all other teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the club plays its games in the Zetra Olympic Hall in Sarajevo.

After the first season of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian League, there were no further championships for a few years. It was not until the 2009/10 season that the club took part in its first championship, but was only able to win three of ten games and was third of the three participating teams. In the following season 2010/11 the HK Alfa already reached the second place of four participants, but drew the short straw in the play-off final against HK Bosna . In the cup competition, the Kup Jaroslav Jandourek , they were eliminated in the first game after a defeat.
