Seven warships of the British Royal Navy were named HMS Liverpool after the city of Liverpool in England

  • The first HMS Liverpool was a fifth class warship frigate with 681 tons, 40 cannons and 250 crew members, launched in Liverpool in 1741 and decommissioned in 1756.
  • The second HMS Liverpool was a frigate classified as a sixth class warship with 587 tons and 28 cannons, which was launched in 1758 in Liverpool and lost in North America in 1777 by shipwreck off Long Island .
  • The third HMS Liverpool was a fourth class warship classified Endymion- class heavy frigate 1,247 tons and 50 cannons, launched in Woolwich in 1814 and decommissioned in Bombay in 1822 .
  • The fourth HMS Liverpool was a fourth class warship classified screw-propelled frigate, 1,195 tons, 38 cannons, launched in Devonport in 1860 and sold for scrapping in 1875.
  • The fifth HMS Liverpool was a 4,800-ton Bristol- class light cruiser that was launched in 1909, took part in World War I (including the 1914 naval battle at Heligoland ) and was scrapped in 1921.
  • The sixth HMS Liverpool (C11) was a light cruiser of the Southampton class with 11,930 tons, which was launched in 1936, the Second World War took part and was scrapped 1958th
  • The seventh HMS Liverpool (D92) is a destroyer of the Type 42 . It was launched in 1980 and took part in the Iraq war. It has not been in active service since 2012.
