HMS Southampton (1757)

The 1757 HMS Southampton was a fifth class warship frigate with 32 guns. She was launched in 1757 and was lost in November 1812 due to shipwreck off the Bahamas (Conception Island). The Southampton was the second ship in the Royal Navy to bear the name of the city of Southampton .
