Several ships in the Netherlands have been named with the surname of the Dutch admiral Michiel de Ruyter over the centuries:

- Mr. Ms. Van Ghent (1926) - torpedo boat destroyer built as De Ruyter
- Mr. Ms. De Ruyter (1935) - a light cruiser , on 28 February 1942 during the Battle of the Java Sea dropped
- Almirante Grau (CLM-81) - as a cruiser of the De Zeven Provinciën-class frigate built.
- Mr. Ms. De Ruyter (F806) - a guided missile frigate
- De Ruyter (F804) - an air defense and command frigate of the De Zeven Provinciën class .
