history

The syndicate was created on April 1, 2014 through the merger of HSG Hohn / Elsdorf and HSG Hamdorf / Breiholz. The men's team appeared in the first season in the Oberliga Hamburg - Schleswig-Holstein , from which they were relegated at the end of the season. Then the team started in the Schleswig-Holstein League. In the 2015/16 season, the male A-youth qualified for the A-youth Bundesliga and at the end of the season took 8th place in the northern relay.

In the summer of 2016, the former second division player Matthias Hinrichsen took over as coach of the men's team. In 2018, the team rose to the league after winning the championship. Two years later, after the season ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the HSG was awarded the league championship title and was promoted to the third division.
