The handball community Mimmenhausen - Mühlhofen is a handball community in the region of Lake Constance and Linzgau , which has been made up of the two handball departments of the clubs TSV Mühlhofen eV and TSV Mimmenhausen eV since 1999 .

history

TSV Mimmenhausen

The TSV Mimmenhausen was founded on 3 September 1899th Since the founding of the handball department in 1929, it has been the largest department of the club.

Highlights:

  • 1988–91 Promotion men 1 district class up to the association league
  • 1987–89 Division Women 1 Oberliga

TSV Mühlhofen

This division played field handball from 1931 until it was closed in 1971 due to a non-regulation gym. Game operations were resumed in 1980 and Mühlhofen received a new gymnasium in 1996.

Amalgamation

Due to the declining number of players and the desire not to poach the youngsters from the other club, the youth departments were merged in 1999. After one year of the SG in the youth sector, the women and men were gradually merged to form the HSG MM.

The HSG Mimmenhausen-Mühlhofen association maintains various active and youth teams. In the men's department, there are male F to A youth and two men's teams. The women's department consists of one E to A youth and two women's teams.

Events

To the delight of handball fans in the area, the HSG MM succeeds time and again in attracting "high-profile handball players" to the Linzgau. Numerous preparatory games between Bundesliga clubs or games between higher-class teams and the HSG MM have already taken place. In recent years, guests have included Frisch Auf Göppingen , TBV Lemgo and HBW Balingen-Weilstetten .

In addition to round-the-clock operations, the HSG Mimmenhausen-Mühlhofen also organizes other events in the communities of Salem and Uhldingen-Mühlhofen. For example, HSG MM takes part in the district family festival, hosts a stand at the Christmas market in Salem, and is represented by the TSV Mühlhofen club at the Uhldinger Hafenfest and the Pfahlbau marathon.

The largest event organized by HSG MM was the Schlosssee Cup in Salem. Up to 100 teams took part in this open-air turf tournament. After the 26th event in 2016, the Schlosssee Cup was discontinued.

Markus Baur played at TSV Mimmenhausen at the beginning of his career.

Michael Binder played in his youth at TSV Mimmenhausen.
