Habib-Jean Baldé (born February 8, 1985 in Saint-Vallier , Saône-et-Loire ) is a former French-born Guinean football player .

Career

Baldé began his professional career in 2003 with the French second division club FC Gueugnon . On the 4th match day of the 2004/05 season he made his professional debut against Stade de Reims and came to 21 more missions during the season. At the end of the season he moved to Stade de Reims , where he was used in 101 league games. At the end of the 2008/09 season he was relegated with his team from Ligue 2. He then moved to US Ivry in the highest French amateur league. In early 2010, the Romanian first division club Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț signed him . He was a regular there and was relegated with his club at the end of the season . Baldé joined the climbers Universitatea Cluj . In the summer of 2011 he returned to France, where he was hired by Olympique Nîmes in the National (D3) . With the club he rose to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2011/12 season. After relegation in 2013 , he moved again to Universitatea Cluj, where he ended his career in early 2014.

In 2008 Baldé took part with the Guinean national team at the African Cup of Nations in Ghana, but was not used during the tournament.
