Habib Qaderi

Habib Qaderi , Pashto :حبيب قادري, (* 1971 in Kabul ) is an Afghan pop singer .

biography

Qaderi comes from a Pashtun family. His father, Sultan Aziz Qaderi, was a political MP in the pre-communist era of Afghanistan. In 1983 the family fled to India, where he attended Sheerno Junior High . Already at this time he was interested in music and took music lessons in tabla and the Indian harmonium .

The family moved on to the USA / Los Angeles in 1985 . Here Qaderi attended the Costa Mesa High School and then the Orange Coast College .

Career

After Habib Qaderi had initially only appeared on private occasions, he recorded his first album Chadar-e-Gulnaar , with which he, however, was not very successful. This did not arise until his third album Aros Gulha , which included duets with the well-known Iranian singer Leila Forouhar.

His next album, Golden Dream , made Habib Qaderi an overnight Afghan superstar, with the following albums cementing this success.
