The Hadsten Lilleå is one of several Jutland watercourses named Lilleå.

The Hadsten Lilleå covers a distance of around 34 km from the source to the confluence with the Gudenå , whose main inlet it is. Their source streams arise northwest of Borum Eshøj , a 104 meter high hill from the Bronze Age , which is west of Aarhus . Several smaller watercourses are added along the way. The Lilleå system, which is not particularly large, provides drainage for an area of more than 300 km².

The Randers – Aarhus railway via Hinnerup and Hadsten to Langå accompanies the river before it reaches its mouth. Water dividend of Lilleå changes depending on the season and rainfall. More than half of all sea trout in Gudenå now go up to Lilleå to spawn.
