Custody-released-information-file-sex offenders (Bavaria)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The prison-released-information-file-sex offenders (HEADS) was set up on October 1, 2006 at the Munich police headquarters . The file is intended to improve the exchange of information between the judiciary , the police and the penal system with regard to the data of sex offenders who have been released from prison and who are particularly at risk of relapse.

The collection was initially limited to the federal state of Bavaria (as of 2007). The file is not publicly accessible, but can only be viewed by the central police station.

On January 4, 2008, the Brandenburg Minister of Justice Beate Blechinger (CDU) announced the establishment of a similar file in the state of Brandenburg.

Other federal states

Similar information systems for monitoring sex offenders at risk of relapse also exist in other German federal states.
