history
The former Haid shopping center was founded in 1991 as a loose association of shops ( Maximarkt , Toys'R'Us , Ikea ) and became a shopping center at the beginning of the new millennium. In September 2006 it was given its current name Haid Center and was taken over by Inter Ikea Center Austria GmbH . On September 3, 2012, the sale of the Haid Center by Inter Ikea to ECE European Prime Shopping Center Fund was announced.
Data
With a sales area of around 100,000 m², it is one of the largest shopping centers in Upper Austria. The Haid Center houses a total of over 80 companies and employs 2,100 people. The customer frequency averages 4 million people per year (that is about 13,000 people per day). 1.7 million people live in the shopping center's catchment area.
criticism
Above all, the increased volume of traffic around the Haid Center is often criticized. The planned construction of the Haid bypass on Kremstal Strasse is intended to provide significant relief .
