Grove Rebas

Hain Rebas (born January 23, 1943 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian historian and professor emeritus of history.

Growing up in the Swedish Gothenburg , Reba took after graduation at the local university on a study of history, which he completed in 1967 with the candidate degree. In 1976 he obtained a doctorate in philosophy. In 1980 he accepted the chair for Nordic history at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . Apart from a brief political career as Defense Minister in Estonia (October 21, 1992 to August 5, 1993 in Mart Laar's cabinet ), he worked there until his retirement in March 2008.
