Norbert Angermann

Norbert Angermann (born November 2, 1936 in Forst (Lausitz) ) is a German historian.

Angermann deals with medieval and early modern Baltic history, especially the history of Livonia , and German-Russian relations in the Middle Ages and in the early modern period. His teacher was Paul Johansen .

In addition to his own works, Norbert Angermann published numerous books and several book series, such as Robert Auty (Volume 1) and Robert-Henri Bautier (Volumes 2 to 5), Volumes 6 to 9 of the Lexicon of the Middle Ages .

Angermann was a professor for Eastern European history at the University of Hamburg and retired in 2002. He lives in Buchholz in the north heath .
