The Hainichblick is a lookout tower near Hütscheroda , a district of Hörselberg-Hainich in the Wartburg district and is located in the Hainich National Park in Thuringia .

The tower, which opened on June 17, 2011, stands on Heidelberg ( 448.1  m above sea level ) and is 20.15 meters high. It was built as a wooden structure and has an open staircase that is accessible via the artificially raised Generalsblick hill , as well as a covered viewing platform at a height of 16 meters . 34 solid cubic meters of wood were used for the construction, only indigenous types of timber were used: larch, oak, Douglas fir and spruce. Chemical wood preservatives were not used.

The tower is located in the western part of the national park area on the newly emerging "Wildcat Path" (marking: stylized cat). The location was previously known as “General Hill” - it is a relic from the time of the Kindel military training area, piled up a few meters high.

With the newly created observation tower, the national park has another attractive sight that can be visited without admission. The tower is a landmark and is used for orientation in the southern open area of the park.

From the Generalsblick a bridge now leads to the wooden viewing platform. At the very top, protected from the weather by a roof, the visitor can see how far the reforestation of these areas has already progressed. "
