Hakaufusi (also: Accou Jago , Hakau Fasi , Hakaufussi ) is an uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Hakaufusi is the southernmost island of Vavaʻu. The Motu is remote and separated from the rest of the archipelago by various reefs. The closest island to the north is Maninita . In the vicinity are the reefs Lalalolomei and Campion Breakers , to the south there are Akkumanes Bank , Disney Reef and Falcon Bank .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands in the Vavaʻu group, Hakaufusi is occasionally hit by cyclones .
