Maninita (also: Naoonoho ) is an uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Maninita is a motu in the southeast of Vavaʻu. It is the southernmost island of the actual archipelago. Hakaufusi in the south is remote and separated by the Lalalomei Bank . The closest islets are Taula and Lua Loli , and Luatafito, in the northeast.

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vava'u group, Maninita is occasionally hit by cyclones .
