Luatafito (also: Luatofito ) is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan island group Vavaʻu .

geography

Luatafito is a motu in the easternmost reef edge of Vavaʻu. It belongs in the series with Fonuafuu , Fonuaunga and Maninita and is relatively isolated. To the west are the nearest islands Kaihifahifa and Lua Loli .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vava'u group, Luatafito is occasionally hit by cyclones .
