Hakim Adi

Hakim Adi (born June 12, 1957 ) is professor of the history of Africa and the African Diaspora at the University of Chichester in England .

Life

Adi received his PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies at London University and now teaches at the University of Chichester in West Sussex . He is a founding member of the Black and Asian Studies Association , which he chaired for several years. He has published a number of books on his subjects as well as dozens of articles in professional journals.

In 2005, Adi was one of the scientists in the documentary 500 Years Later . He has been interviewed several times on television and radio shows. He also wrote three history books for children.
