from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Halka Plaul (born Lukaschek , born August 1, 1963 in Leipzig ) is a German table tennis player . She won five titles in GDR championships in the 1980s.

Career

In 1980 Plaul won the GDR youth championship in singles. She played for the club BSG Lokomotive Leipzig-Mitte , with whose women's team she was GDR champions in 1985/86 and 1989/90. From 1983 she belonged to the Chemistry Schönebeck Club for some time , but returned to BSG Lokomotive Leipzig-Mitte. At the individual championships, she and Dagmar Mestchen were three times in a row GDR champion in doubles from 1981 to 1983. In 1987 she was in double finals with the same partner.

Since 1981 Plaul was part of the GDR national team. Since the GDR isolated itself internationally in table tennis from 1972 onwards as a result of the competitive sports decision, it hardly had the opportunity to distinguish itself internationally.

She married in the late 1980s. From 1991 to 1993 she played for the club TTV "Grüne Linde" Liebertwolkwitz in the Oberliga and the Regionalliga. Then in 1993 she was active at SV Dresden-Mitte 1950 . In 2009 she ended her active career.
