The Hallertau Hop and Local History Museum is a local museum in Geisenfeld in the Hallertau in Bavaria . An overview is given of the history of local hop cultivation , which can be documented in Geisenfeld since 736 AD. Religious folk art and agricultural implements are also on display. The museum has been closed for restoration since 2011.

From January 1982 old exhibits on the history of hops were exhibited. In March 1982 the association Hallertauer Hopfen- und Heimatmuseum Geisenfeld e. V. In the same year, work began on converting the old town hall into a museum. The reopening took place in January 2006 after the renovation. The museum was housed in the former town hall from 1985 to 2012. After a decision by the Geisenfeld City Council, the former monastery complex is moving . In December 2011, the last tour took place in the old town hall before moving to the monastery wing. The exhibits are currently in storage.
