The Halsnøytunnel is a single-tube road tunnel between the mainland and the island of Halsnøy in the municipality of Kvinnherad in the province of Vestland . The tunnel along the Riksvei 544 is 4120 m long. The deepest point is about 135 m below the sea surface. With the opening of the tunnel, the Sunde ferry terminal was closed and the Sunde-Ranavik-Skjersholmane ferry connection was shortened to Ranavik-Skjersholmane.
