Hamburg Gray Angels

The Hamburg Gray Angels are a cheerleader squad from Hamburg and are part of the team of the multiple German champions in American football , the Hamburg Blue Devils . The name Gray Angels is based on the former second men's team, the Gray Devils, for which the Angels originally cheered.

General

The Hamburg Gray Angels are an all-women team (Senior All-Girl). In addition to cheering for the Hamburg Blue Devils in the eVendi Arena and at international matches, the Angels also appear at numerous other events in Northern Germany.

When the football season comes to an end in autumn, the Gray Angels prepare for the actual sporting climax: In the winter half of the year, the championships of the independent sport of cheerleading take place.

successes

The Hamburg Gray Angels have been taking part in official championships of the AFVD and the EFAF since 1994 . In addition to various successes at the Hamburg state championships, the Angels became German runners-up in 1996, 1999 and 2000.

Internationally, the Angels won a 3rd place at the European Championships in Stuttgart in 1996 and a 5th place in Slovenia in 2000 . In the Group Hour, the Angels also achieved 3rd place at the 1999 NCA championship in Bottrop .

In 2006 the Gray Angels (as well as the Blue Angels and the Pee Wee Angels) achieved 1st place in the Senior All Girl category at the Hamburg Cheerleading Championships and will therefore take part in the DCM in February 2007.
