Hamburg University Press is a publisher of the State and University Library Hamburg Carl von Ossietzky at the University of Hamburg . The publisher supports open access . All books are accessible on the Internet free of charge. In addition, most publications are offered as print on demand books. Works by scientists at Hamburg University are published as well as those by other researchers. In addition to various series ( works on the church history of Hamburg , since 1958; articles on the history of Hamburg , since 1969), the publisher also publishes the Living Handbook of Narratology in cooperation with the Walter de Gruyter publisher .

history

Hamburg University Press has been active since at least 2001. Originally, proprietary software based on PHP and MySQL was used . In April 2005 a completely revised software based on MyCoRe was presented and used. The application was hosted at the regional computing center of the University of Hamburg , where the publisher was also based. In 2006 the publisher moved completely to the Hamburg State and University Library.
