Hamed Rajabi ( Persian حامد رجبی; * 1982 in Hamadan ) is an Iranian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Hamed Rajabi was born in Hamadan in 1982 . He studied film at the University of Tehran and made his first short films. In 2011 he was accepted into the Talent Campus of the Berlin International Film Festival .

He made his feature film debut in 2015 with the drama Paridan az ertefa kam (festival title: A Minor Leap Down ), which celebrated its international premiere as part of the Panorama section at the 65th Berlinale . The film tells the story of 30-year-old Nahal (played by Negar Javaherian) who hides the death of her unborn child from her own family.
