Hamide Akbayir (born May 10, 1959 in Frac, Tunceli , Turkey ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Life

Hamide akbayir since 1972 has lived in Germany and was in 1977 the diploma . In 1980 she graduated as a chemical-technical assistant and has since been employed at the Institute for Biochemistry at the University of Cologne .

From 1993 to 1997 she was a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . In 1998 she joined the PDS . From 1998 to 2004 she was a member of the City of Cologne's Foreigners Advisory Council. Since 2007 she has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state executive committee of the party Die Linke .

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , in which she stood as a candidate in the Hagen I state electoral district , she succeeded in entering the state parliament via the state list. As political priorities, she specifies the equality of women (s), environmental and nature protection, as well as peace policy. In the 2012 election her party won no seats.

Hamide Akbayir has been a district board member of DIE LINKE.Köln since 2013. Since the local elections in May 2014 , she has been a member of the Cologne City Council for the DIE LINKE parliamentary group. Her focus areas are women's and gender equality policy / gender equality, migration. She is environmental and women's policy spokeswoman for the parliamentary group, deputy chairwoman of the committee for suggestions and complaints in the Cologne City Council.
