The Hamilton Cliff is a striking, over 600  m high rock cliff in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the Thiel Mountains , it forms the northeastern foothills of the Ford massif .

It was named at the suggestion of geologist Arthur B. Ford and cartographer Peter Frank Bermel , who jointly led a team from the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to explore the Thiel Mountains between 1960 and 1961 . It is named after the American geologist Warren B. Hamilton (1925–2018), who as representative of the USGS was responsible for geological studies in the Antarctic dry valleys between 1958 and 1959 .
