The Hamilton Bay is a small bay at the mouth of Solomon glacier in the southeast of South Georgia . Your entrance is 650 m northeast of the entrance to Drygalski Fjord .
The South Georgia Survey took surveys between 1951 and 1957 . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the bay in 1958 after James E. Hamilton (1893-1957), a naturalist in the Falkland Islands who worked for the British Discovery Investigations between 1925 and 1928 .
