The Han tombs of Dahuting ( Chinese  打虎 亭 汉墓 , Pinyin Dǎhǔtíng Hànmù , English Dahuting Tombs of Han Dynasty ) are two connected tombs from the late Eastern Han period in the village of Dahuting in Xinmi (新 密 市), a circular one City in the administrative area of ​​the prefecture-level city of Zhengzhou , Henan Province , People's Republic of China . The more than 1,800 year old tombs are located in the southwest of Zhengzhou and have been excavated since 1960. They are graves of a high official and his relatives.

A stone tablet excavated in 1980 shows a kitchen scene that supposedly illustrates the production of soy milk and bean curd ( tofu ). However, due to recent considerations, this is no longer recognized.

Western grave

The western grave is larger and was built of bricks and stones, it consists of seven chambers, is 25.16 meters long and 17.8 meters wide, the central room is 4.88 meters high, with a 0.5 meter thick layer of coal paved. It is richly decorated with figures and stone carvings.

Eastern grave

The eastern tomb is smaller, and most of its murals show the life of the tomb owner on his estate (zhuangyuan): receiving the rent (shōu zū 收租), sitting in the kitchen (zuòchú 坐 厨), receiving visitors (yíngbīn 迎宾), at the banquet (yànyǐn 宴饮), dance and music (wǔlè 舞 乐), acrobatics (xì 百 戏), wrestling (xiāngpū 相扑), traveling with carts and horses (chēmǎ chūxíng 车马 出行) and maids ( shìnǚ 侍女) etc.

The Han Tombs of Dahuting (Dahuting Han mu) from the Eastern Han Period have been on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-239) since 1988 .
