The Handball-Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar (OL-RPS) is one of the twelve squadrons of the Handball-Oberliga of the German Handball Federation and the highest division of the four independent state associations Rheinhessen (HVR), Rhineland (HVRL) , Palatinate (PfHV) and Saar (HVS) . The 2014/15 season is the 13th season of this fourth-highest German division. 16 teams play for promotion to the third highest division .

Newcomers from the individual national leagues in 2013/14 are TSG Friesenheim II (Pfalzliga) , TV Bodenheim (Rheinhessenliga) and TV Bitburg (Rhineland League ). VT Zweibrücken-Saarpfalz is relegated from the 3rd division in 2013/14 .
