Jonathan Rodríguez , full name Jonathan Javier Rodríguez Portillo , (born July 6, 1993 in Florida ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The offensive player Rodríguez, who is 1.78 meters tall according to the club, and 1.81 meters according to other sources, who is sometimes also spelled Jhonatan Rodríguez , grew up as the son of a soldier with several brothers in modest circumstances. He played for Atlético in his youth in home Florida. He was also used in the Florida department selection . In 2010 he made his debut in Atlético's first team at the age of 16.
In 2011 he moved to the Uruguayan first division club Atlético Peñarol as part of a one-year loan for a few balls . The loan deal included an option to buy for $ 7,000. The donating club secured a percentage share in a future transfer. He has been in the first division squad since 2013 and played 27 games in the Primera División in the 2013/14 season , in which he scored eleven goals. He also played two games (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2013 and played five times (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores . In July 2014, an almost certain move to the Portuguese club Sporting Braga failed , as did a move to Sporting Lisbon previously confirmed by the player himself on his Facebook account in June 2014 . In the Apertura 2014 he was used eleven times (four goals) in the top Uruguayan league and four times (three goals) in the Copa Sudamericana 2014 .
At the end of January 2015, he moved to Benfica Lisbon on loan . While in the first team Benfica in the 2014/15 season he only contributed to winning the Portuguese championship with a four-minute, goalless league brief, he played six times for Benfica Lisbon B and scored seven goals. After the 2015/16 season had already started, he moved to the Spanish club Deportivo La Coruña on August 20, 2015 as part of a one-year loan deal with Benfica . From mid-June 2016 he continued his career at Santos Laguna . In his first season of 2016/17 , he scored 13 goals in 31 appearances and prepared two more. In the following season 2017/18 he scored only seven times in 37 league games, but he was an important factor in the team winning the Clausura 2018. In the next season 2018/19 he increased his goal scoring again. In Apertura 2018, he scored eight times in 17 games and prepared three more goals.
At the turn of the year 2019, Rodríguez changes to league competitor CD Cruz Azul .
National team
Rodríguez was for the two friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Oman in October 2014 coach Óscar Tabárez in the levy of the senior team appointed.
