The commercial academy and business school in Wiener Neustadt was founded in 1945 as the first commercial academy in Lower Austria .
history
The school was founded in 1945 by the city of Wiener Neustadt. The municipal school was housed in the former deaf-and-dumb institution on Schneeberggasse in the town, which was badly damaged by the war , and initially consisted of two classes with 45 students each and, due to the Second World War, the students had a large age difference of 14 to 32 years. In 1946 the business academy and business school (the former business school) moved to the former Carmelite convent between Herzog-Leopold-Strasse and Haggenmüllergasse. After the district administration was relocated to a new building, the school moved to its current location in 1958 in the former military hospital , which was completed in 1903 and which was acquired by the Federal Ministry of Finance, Trade and Reconstruction, Education . On January 1, 1961, the school was taken over as a federal school. As part of a renovation and renovation, the school was located in the former Bechtolsheim barracks from 2010 to 2012 .
