Handelshøyskolen BI (Engl. BI Norwegian Business School ) is a business school with university status in Oslo . With 20,049 students, it is the largest business school in Norway and the second largest in Europe. BI stands for Bedriftsøkonomisk Institutt (German Business Institute).
history
The college was founded in 1943 by Finn Øien . Over the decades, BI merged with various schools to develop new fields of expertise, including Norges Markedshøyskole , Oslo Handelshøyskole and Norges Varehandelshøyskole (2000).

Pre-experience, full-time programs
Undergraduate
The language of instruction in the undergraduate programs is generally Norwegian (in some Norwegian programs, certain courses in English are compulsory). Only the “Bachelor in Business Administration” program is offered in English in addition to the Norwegian version. It is mainly attended by foreign students - especially exchange students, but also foreign full-time students. The university offers a total of 17 Bachelor programs.

campus
A new campus in Oslo's Nydalen district opened in 2005. Until then, the university was located in a building in Sandvika , the administrative center of the municipality of Bærum in Akershus near Oslo. The entire course portfolio - from Bachelor's to Doctocal Level - is offered in Nydalen. More than 8,000 of the 18,000 or so students study in Nydalen. In addition to the main campus in Oslo, the university has locations in Bergen, Drammen, Kristiansand, Stavanger and Trondheim. Full-time bachelor and tailor-made post-graduate programs are offered there. In addition, there are other locations in numerous cities across Norway that offer executive education programs for local executives in particular. Most of the university staff are based on the main campus in Oslo.
